Womens Hope Medical Clinic
Women’s Hope Medical Clinic has been serving the Opelika community for over 40 years by providing free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and prenatal care to women facing unplanned pregnancies. After a patient has received medical care, she is given the opportunity to participate in parenting classes through which she can earn baby items like diapers, wipes, baby clothing, and car seats. Did you know that Women’s Hope also walks closely alongside the new fathers as they embark on the journey of fatherhood? Not only can the fathers attend all medical appointments with their partners, but they can also participate in classes that are specially tailored for dads and earn baby items. Because of these services, the Opelika community has seen better outcomes for children and families. We are able to continue coming alongside parents because of the abundant generosity of our donors and initiatives like Opelika Giving Day.

Strolling with Dad
In our 2024 Opelika Giving Day project, “Strolling with Dad,” we are aiming to provide 18 dads enrolled in our fatherhood program with a stroller that is also equipped with a car seat. This stroller/car set combo is an indispensable item for new dads as they embrace this new role.
We are very grateful to have a full-time Fatherhood Director on staff with us to guide these dads through their first couple of years of fatherhood. A portion of the money raised on Opelika Giving Day will contribute to his salary.
The funding from this project will also pay for our yearly subscription to Bright Course, the platform that houses all of our parenting classes for moms and dads.
