A Step Toward Wellness
The Opelika Neighborhood Mobile Wellness Clinic began making weekly visits to medically underserved communities in December 2022. The volunteer medical team saw over 350 patients in 2023, and they anticipate over 800 patients in 2024.
Our Opelika Giving Day 2024 Project is "Take a Step Toward Wellness," a program conducting A-1C and CardioCheck screenings, and referring patients to appropriate treatment.
State of the Art Testing
Increasingly, the volunteer medical teams on the Opelika Mobile Wellness Clinic are seeing patients with high blood sugar. By incorporating state-of-the-art testing devices into our mobile clinic, we can empower individuals with diabetes to take control of their health and well-being. With accurate and timely A-1C and lipid panels, we can tailor intervention, ultimately reducing the burden of diabetes and cardiac-related complications and enhancing the quality of life for our community members.
