Help us build an outdoor classroom with weatherproof seating and instructional materials.
O Grows volunteers are already using outdoor spaces for teaching. Our plans are to design and implement an outdoor classroom under the shaded area of the commons area at O Grows. Ideally, the space will contain outdoor seating (benches, floor cushions), tables, instructional materials (weather-resistant whiteboard, clipboards), and accessible raised beds of varying heights.
The addition of an outdoor classroom will allow O Grows to create more interactive and accessible learning opportunities for children, families, and seniors who already visit the garden. It also increases our ability to host community events and make growing spaces more available to a wider range of ages and ability levels.
